Privacy Statement

Effective date: 05-08-2024

Date of last amendment: 02-08-2024

Food Fellows takes privacy seriously. In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data we collect and use, for what purpose and how we ensure that this personal data is properly secured.

Privacy policy
As a data controller, Food Fellows processes, manages and secures personal data with the utmost care. We provide visitors to our website with a secure information space. In doing so, we comply with the requirements imposed on us by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and national legislation. We have set out how we meet these requirements in our Privacy Regulations.

Personal data and purpose of processing
We use personal data, namely a User's name and email address when the relevant User has submitted this personal data to Food Fellows via the website, for example by completing the contact form. Food Fellows uses this personal data exclusively for the purpose for which the User has provided the personal data to Food Fellows.

Security and storage
The organisation takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access and other undesirable actions with personal data. These measures, including encryption using an SSL certificate, ensure a level of security appropriate to the data we process. These measures are included in our privacy regulations. Among other things, Food Fellows has a clean desk policy, employees are not allowed to take data home and all cupboards and drawers are locked after working hours. In addition, IT provides guidelines on changing passwords regularly. Personal data collected is not kept longer than necessary. Food Fellows adheres to the legal time limits.

Google Analytics
Because we want to know how our visitors use the website, so we can optimise the use of the website, we use Google Analytics. We have concluded a processor agreement with Google for this purpose. Cookies from Google are therefore placed via this website. The information is anonymised as much as possible. Your IP address is expressly not used. We therefore cannot trace you personally. Third parties
As a matter of principle, personal data is not shared with third parties. If data are shared, this is only done because it is necessary for the execution of an agreement or to comply with a legal obligation. Agreements are made with organisations that process your data on behalf of the organisation to ensure that your data are properly secured there too. This is done through a so-called Processing Agreement or through a privacy statement in the General Terms and Conditions of this third party.

Information and rights
You have the right to object to the processing of your data and you have the right to inspect, correct or delete your data. You may also, where appropriate, ask the organisation to restrict the processing of your personal data or to transfer your data to yourself or to a third party.

Would you like to exercise (any of) these rights, do you have questions about how we handle privacy and personal data, or do you have a complaint about the way we process personal data? If so, please contact Food Fellows' communications manager at [email protected]

In the unlikely event that you cannot work things out with us, you can lodge a complaint with the regulator, the Personal Data Authority at: https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/en/submitting-a-tip-off-or-a-complaint-to-the-dutch-dpa
